I don't know if this is possible, but it would be really useful for a system we are working on at the moment...

The form contains 8 tabs collecting detailed data on a business.  The first field in each tab is a status field for that tab (red, amber, green) and I want to be able to either change the text colour, text background or the text itself of a tab based on the value in the status field.

I have 6 forms each with around 8 tabs to implement this on, so if it's possible, the solution would need to be able to be deployed multiple times on each fo 6 tables.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Have looked into a canvas app?  If that doesn't work I'd try a web resource you could then apply to all forms. 
Let me know how it goes, looks like an interesting idea that I could use too!

Not that I've encountered.  Have you looked over the latest release notes for Wave 1?  I saw something similar to what you might be looking for in the details but it only applies to cases for this year.  I'm sure it is something they will expand but not sure ETA.
