That's interesting that the app is auto creating a phone activity. I wasn't aware this was available and would like to enable this feature because that's how my organization work. Which D365 experience are you currently using, classic vs UCI/UI? Also, which mobile app are you using and which D365 module? We are using D365 CE online, strictly UCI, with the native MS Dynamics mobile app and not able to achieve the behavior you stated.
This leads me to a possible solution for you. If this feature is somehow not configurable, maybe a workaround would be to create a new custom text field, with phone format, and hopefully this would "break" the auto create relationship/plugin/workflow that's generating the phone activity? However, this may also mean the "click on phone number" may not work. But, I think this "click" feature is a native smartphone/tablet OS feature so it may still be an actionable text for the local device.
That said, I do recall when we were in classic that the text was recognized as an actionable phone number through the native MS D365 app. But now I see in UCI/UI that my iOS device doesn't recognize the texts as a phone number anymore. Seems like something changed either on the D365 side or iOS side. I guess now I have something else to investigate. 😊

Subject: Turn off Auto Creation of Phone Activity
Hey all,
We are just launching mobile and we are D365 in the cloud. When someone clicks on the phone number to call someone the app auto creates a phone activity. I need to turn this off as this is not how my company works with CRM.
If someone can point me in the right direction to turn this feature off, I would be very appreciative.
Thanks a bunch,
