    Hi,

I have created a custom field of type Whole Number with format Language. I have set this field has business required:

This format offer the possibility to choose a language the list of language available for the organisation. And is apparently set by default on the organisation base language.

I said "Apparently", because even if the field seems to be filled, it is not and when I save the form it tells me that the field is empty. I have to manually select English even if it is already displayed.

For your information, I am on Unified Interface.

Have you already used this format and experienced the same issue? If so, is there a way to bypass it ?

    Best Regards,

Hey Laurent this appears to be a bug related to the UCI. If you view it in the Classic UI the field truly is null. Unfortunately whole number fields with a language, time zone and duration do not support business rules so you can't leverage those. A potential workaround would be to write an onload javascript that could potentially clear the field if its null though I have not tested this.

    Hi @Doug Apicella,

Thank you for confirmation that this behaviour is specific with UCI. I have indeed tested business rules without success.

I may go with Javascript then.

    Best Regards,
