Building Query with AND & OR

    I'm creating a dynamic marketing list.  I need to build a query that says "where status = Active AND (State = MI OR State = OH OR State = IN).

    I've grouped the State statements together as an OR group.  What I don't know how to do is to group the AND (status = active) with the OR.

    Karen, your query achieves what you're trying to do, the AND  in the Advanced Find is implicit, you could "Select Group" on the States and "Select Row" on the Status and the "Group AND"  as show below but that is not necessary. Each separate row/group in an Advanced Find is an AND condition unless you specify it as an OR
