My company is looking to utilize CRMs email functionality. Our Marketing Department currently uses Mail Chimp. I was wondering if I could pick someone's brain about how they use the mail chimp integration with their CRM. Find out best practices, configure, etc...

PowerObjects has a solution for that.  Install the solution and it allows you to use Dynamics data as your marketing list for Mail Chimp.

    Hi Jonathan-

The add-on from PowerObjects for MailChimp  that Simon posted about is incredibly easy to use -- it just works!

You get to use all of your marketing lists in 365 and those are synchronized to MailChimp. All of the campaign data from MailChimp is synced back to 365 (total sends, opens, clicks, bounces) as activities so you can report on it all in there!

Feel free to reach out if you have other questions: jmarkovich@okaya.com.

    Thanks.
    Joe

@Joseph C. Markovich - does the PowerObjects solution create an activity for every send?

We use a tool called SyncApps from Cazoomi - https://syncapps.cazoomi.com/search?q=dynamics&category= and it works pretty well (stellar support) but it creates an activity for every send - which is overkill, especially when you doing 50k+ blasts.

    Hi @Donal McCarthy:

Yes, it creates an activity for each send, open, bounce and click of anything in the message.

If you want more control over the integration, you can create an Azure Logic App and build exactly what you need. The cost will depend on how complicated you make it and how often it runs.
