  • 1.  Importing Contacts - Company Name Will Not Import

    Edit: Of course, I got it fixed soon after posting this. For whatever reason, importing CSVs under the account/contact records was not working well. Going to the Import section in settings and importing XLSX files worked.

    I imported contacts recently, and many of the company names did not load in. All the account names are already pre-existing in CRM. The new contacts created came through without the link to the account. Company name is completely blank. I literally tried uploading a dozen different ways now, with no success. It's odd, because this has not been an issue previously. The failure messages presented are "a duplicate lookup reference was found" and "the lookup reference could not be resolved."

    Anybody know where I am going wrong?

    Joseph,

    For Account, Contact, User, or any other entity record lookup, i just use the GUIDs.  I try to have the import process "guess" as little as possible.
