Meeting invites being sent for old appointments

    Hi all!
Last night we saw some meeting invites go out to customers for appointments that were tracked in CRM and showing in Outlook as Meetings.  These meetings were all in the past and had be completed in CRM.  As well - only invites for meetings owned by select users were sent out.  We can't seem to pin point anything that happened in Dynamics last night that would have triggered this and are unsure what to look for in exchange/outlook.
Has anyone encountered this?  Any thoughts to ensure it doesn't happen again?
    Thanks!

    Hi Diane,
As discussed when we spoke on Teams, we were also affected in our tenant in the UK.  Closed meetings that were past appointments with lots of invites sent out which we started at 1800 UTC on 10th Sept.   No logical explanation as why some meetings were resent, and some were not sent. We disabled all mailboxes to mitigate, and Microsoft Tech support have described it as using a different connection technology to our Exchange Online which they have since rolled back but I wonder how many other people were affected and how we can protect the integrity of our email communications.

I also posted a thread in the Dynamics 365 Community to see if we can get more information about who was affected.
