CRM / Outlook Integration user adoption tracking?

  • 1.  CRM / Outlook Integration user adoption tracking?

    Is anyone aware of a value in CRM that indicates an appointment was created in Outlook vs directly in CRM?   We've recently rolled out Outlook Integration and would like a way to track user adoption metrics to see who is and isn't using the integration.   I've searched through the available appointment fields using the advanced search and I've done a Google search on the topic but came up empty handed.    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Brad, I see a field on appointment which is 'OutlookOwnerApptId'
    not sure if this is what represents an outlook appointment or not. I have never used it myself.

    I don't have that option on my end.   It could be a custom field?

    Brad, you won't see this field in Advanced Find since it is not searchable. Look for it in the fields list and you will find it. Once again, this may or may not be the field you are looking for, but doesn't hurt to explore.

    I you are using the new Outlook App (not the COM add-in ) You they aren't really in outlook when they create the Appointment. you are in a special IFrame that loads the App on the side of Outlook and ties into it with special API hooks. Are you looking at tracking adoption of the Outlook App or of Outlook? Are you using the COM add-in? You should not it is no longer supported.

    We're looking to track adoption of the Outlook App.   The user base is using the APP, not the COM add-in.
