Rearrange command bar buttons in Unified Interface

    For years, users have complained about the order of the command bar buttons - particularly for all activities.

    Users sometimes click "mark complete" when they mean to click "save & close."  "Save & Close" is next to "Save" on non-activity entities.

    They would prefer the order to be:  Save  |  Save & Close  |  Mark Complete  |  Close <entity>  |  {followed by the remaining buttons}

    I've created workflows so they can reopen when they accidentally close. But for some entities, we have automatic workflows that run when the status changes to closed. Reopening and closing later causes the workflow to run more than once and creates other issues that I'd like to avoid.

    I've seen discussions about using the ribbon workbench to rearrange buttons for CRM 2016 and earlier, but I haven't run across any similar discussion for the U.I., other than to add a custom button. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    I think Ribbon Workbench is still your go-to tool for reordering command buttons.
