Incorrect Results in View Using Internet Explorer

A user has a view that is supposed to show 143 records, but instead it is only showing 65. We've discovered that she is only seeing records from 2017 and none from 2018. There are no filters applied. When she logs into Chrome from the same machine she is able to see the correct # of records (she has been using Chrome since the issue started). Also, when I log into the CRM using my credentials from her laptop I also see the incorrect number of records in IE. The view displays correctly from other machines.

I'm thinking there is some kind of caching happening on her machine with IE.

    So far I have:
    -delete browsing history
    -deleted temp internet files

    Has anyone experienced this before?

That is indeed strange behaviour and I've not seen it before.

One thing that occurs to me, a bit of a long shot though, are you absolutely sure that it is the same view in both browsers? It is possible to have views with the same name and perhaps you are seeing different views even though they have the same name.

That really is a strange outcome.  I have not seen a browser influence the number of records displayed.

It was a good recommendation to double-check the views and make sure there were not two different ones with the same or a similar name.

I also wondered if there could be some type of security issue going on.  Security roles is one way to limit the result set being pulled back.  But it can also get more complex if some records have been shared with a specific user or team or if a user has a team role with additional security applied to it.

Keep us posted on what you find out.  This really did sound like an odd one to me, and I am curious what the answer for you turns out to be.

Make sure you check the version of IE (including the minor numbers). At one point there was an IE version that was a problem.

    Good Luck
