MSE, Social Profiles, editing, existing data

    Hi All,

Just want to discuss limitations and workarounds on this.
I've been asked to pop a twitter URL field on a contact form,  Simple?  Well not when you consider Microsoft Social Engagement it seems.

When a post is linked to CRM, it looks for a Social Profile in CRM to match the twitter handle against .  If this does not exist, then a new contact is created with a new social profile so that subsequent links are made to the right contact.

This works except for if we already know the contact we need to merge the record AND if we already have the twitter handle we cannot create our own social profile in advance so that MSE can link records later.

Have anyone worked with this closely and found any effective workarounds to this?

    TIA .

    Hi Dave,

I've never managed to do this with MSE, however, this is possible with Flow. Have you looked into the Flow templates out there?

There are several templates that involve Twitter and Dynamics is an example:

Let me know if that works.
