Hi all,

We have a dialog which consist to cancel a case. The button to trigger this cancel action is on the Ribbon Workbench. When a user clicks on that button, it call a JavaScript which calls the dialog to complete the cancel action.
Because dialogs are deprecated, we need to replace dialogs with ether Business Process Flow or Canvas Apps. Canvas Apps only work on Unified Interface.
We decide first to replace this cancel dialog with Business Process Flow. How to do that to have the same behavior we had with dialog and Javascript. The documentation which give instructions is not deep. What to put as Data Field? We read instructions of this page: Replace dialogs with business process flows or canvas apps - Power Automate
Any help, any documentation will be appreciated.

Are you On-Premises or Online? I ask because if you are Online you have a more urgent matter in that Friday all environments are being pushed to Unified Interface.

To address your question without knowing a ton of detail, you could create a business process flow with each stage being the same as a page in your dialog. In your final stage you could trigger javascript off a field in the stage to complete the process.

For creating business process flows there is a link in that document that will give more information on how to build them out. Create a Business Process Flow

Hello Arsene,

You could create the second BPF and have the users change to the Cancel Case BPF with the Switch Process button in the ribbon.

One more question. If I have query in my dialog, how to create this query in my business process flow? In dialog, each page depend of conditional result of this query.

In BPF, I can add workflow. But I don't find any way to add a query in that workflow.

Hello Arsene,

With the OOB BPF you can have conditional branches based on the value of a field in a previous step. I am not sure exactly what you are querying but if it can be captured in a field then you can use it to trigger your branch.
