    Hello,

    only one of my user is still experiencing this error

    I cannot connect to dynamics 365 from outlook using the new addin

    this is the error

    @giovanni manunta - Does the user have the "Dynamics 365 App for Outlook User" security role? Also, in their primary Security Role(s), check the Business Management tab.

    Okay, thanks for your question

     

    We fixed in this way

     

    1)     We open a ticket to Microsoft

    a.      After 2 or three meetings we discovered together that that user must to add these trusted sites

                                                        i.     *.dynamics.com

                                                       ii.     *.microsoftonline.com

                                                      iii.     https://login.windows.net

    b.      Then we cleaned up the Internet Explorer Cache(IE not chrome) and we removed the Internet Temporary file from IE (again IE, not CHROME)

     

    This worked for us.

    Glad you got a resolution. The app is built on IE tech. We've had similar, and even if user never uses IE, the solution almost always involves clearing their IE cache.

    I too have an issue (newly) with loading Dynamics from within the outlook client app. All works fine on the browser version of outlook, but not on the client version. I have deleted the caches of IE, edge, Outlook multiple times. I have also done all the steps suggested in this thread. No luck. this is the error message i am consistently seeing:

    I have seen that happening for one of our users too. In his case, he had installed a new Beta version of Edge. After uninstalling that beta browser, his app worked again.

    No, one of my users decided to install it. Then the issue started happening weeks later.

    After we uninstalled the BETA Edge, the issue was solved.

    You might be facing the same issue with a completely different cause, but it's worth trying IF you have a beta version of Edge installed.
