    Hi all,
We're on D365 Online CE v9x classic interface.  We have 3 Date fields on the Opportunity form.  When a user selects a date after 2029 using the calendar (e.g. 1st January 2030), saves the record and then hovers over the field, the year shows as 1930 instead of 2030.

The workaround is to manually type in the date, making sure to enter the year as YYYY.  When you save the record and then hover over it, the year appears correctly.

Ideally, I shouldn't have to ask users not to use the calendar and enter dates in manually.

Under the Region option in the Control Panel I found the Calendar setting which I thought would resolve the issue.  I changed 2029 to 2100 which automatically changed 1930 to 2001.  Unfortunately this did nothing.

I experienced this issue in Chrome.  I then tried this in Internet Explorer and Edge and got the same behaviour but when I tried Firefox, I noticed that the dates were displayed as DD/MM/YYYY (see below) not DD/MM/YY like in the other browsers.

I've looked online to see how I can display the date as DD/MM/YYYY in Chrome.  The articles I've read say that this issue is to do with the Language setting.  I've currently got English (United Kingdom) selected.  I've tried English and English (United States) but this didn't make a difference.

Has anyone else come across this before or know what the solution is?

    Thanks in advance.

Interesting. My first question has to be why are your users working with dates 10 years in the future!

Anyway, yes I was able reproduce the issue on an 8.2 on-prem system but ONLY after I changed the date format in D365 Set Personal Options | Formats | Customize from dd/MM/yyyy to dd/MM/yy.

I think that dd/MM/yy is the default but setting it to dd/MM/yyyy seems to avoid the problem.

Morning @Feridun Kadir, amazing, thank you so much.  Yes, changing the Short Date Format in the Dynamics Personal Settings to dd/MM/yyyy worked!  I checked these settings in the environment I was accessing in Firefox and the Short Date Format was already set to dd/MM/yyyy.

I knew there was a setting somewhere but just didn't know where it was!  Thanks for your help.

@Mark Aston - To follow on to this, if you are using the XrmToolBox, you can update all your user's personal settings using the User Settings Utility tool. This will help you ensure the date format is standardized.

Hi @Aaron Back, apologies for the slow reply.  On the User Settings Utility tool the Formats options are greyed out apart from the first option...

...but i've just realised that I can change the customize the Short Date Format globally in Settings > Administration > System Settings > Formats tab...

    Regards,
