CRM Form Issues with Chrome Update 72

Has anyone noticed issues with the Chrome 72 updating cutting off the top of CRM forms (unscrollable area)?  It works fine for those who have not received the latest Chrome update and works fine using IE.  I'm running CRM version 1710 (9.1.0.1471) online.

Are you experiencing this in other browsers? Have you experienced this issue in the Unified Interface?

    Hi Aaron,
We are not using the unified interface yet.  All other browsers and versions of Chrome work fine.  Only seeing this issue with Chrome 72.0.3626.81 which was installed this morning and seems to be the latest version.  (I tried to uninstall it and go get the latest version of Chrome and wound up with the same version.)
    Thanks,

    Jeff

@Jeff Henry - I just verified my Chrome version and it's the same as yours. I then checked my CRM system and I am seeing the Header section just fine without any issue.

Does your Chrome have any addins/extensions? If so, I would suggest remove all extensions, test it out, then add the extensions back one-by-one until you find the culprit.

Jeff - I presume you tried clearing your cache?

I just updated to  Version 72.0.3626.81 (Official Build) (64-bit) and I'm not seeing anything amiss so far.

Arghh - I spoke too soon re Chrome 72

I'm seeing a similar form issue with the top of the form truncated. Main impact is being unable to access form menu.

I'm also seeing a weird solution export issue - solution zips are being exported with '' around them in the actual filename, e.g. 'solution.zip' instead of solution.zip.

Edge seems to be working fine though.

We've had some users report this problem in Chrome recently as well and I need to confirm what browser version they're on. After reading this thread, I suspect it's 72. We are on Service Update 14 of Customer Engagement. It's does seem to be the header section of forms that won't render correctly. I have Chrome version 71 and it works as expected in that version.

We have the same issue, affecting all users. IE works OK, though not in other respects, so users are advised not to use it :(

I've tried clearing the cache and disabling extensions, this has no effect - does anyone have any other suggestions?

I've seen something similar happening with our header on occasion. I believe it was with our custom logo. I found that if I zoomed out with Ctrl- then it went away.

I am not noticing any header issues, but noticed my footer has disappeared all together after updating to Chrome 72.

'Ctrl -' doesn't fix it for me, but pressing F11 for full screen does - press it again to go back to non-full screen and he title bar (or whatever you call it) remains. Only problem is that you need to do this on each page.

I noticed within my Microsoft 365 Admin Center a service issue message for Dynamics 365. This is very specific as it states "Form headers not rendering in Google Chrome".

Here are the details in the message:

Title: Form headers not rendering in Google Chrome
User Impact: Users may not be able to view form headers when using Google Chrome version 72.
More Info: As a workaround, users can properly view forms using other internet browsers or older versions of Google Chrome.
Current Status: Our initial investigation determined that forms may not display headers properly when users are viewing in the latest version of Google Chrome (version 72). We are currently investigating telemetry to determine the next steps.
Incident Start Time: Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 10:52 PM UTC Next Update: Thursday, January 31, 2019, 9:30 PM UTC

Thanks for the info @Aaron Back, MCSE! I thought our impact was limited to our logo, but later in the day we discovered we are impacted as everyone else is. Ctrl - does help a little bit, but it doesn't fix it like the logo issue. Hopefully it gets resolved quickly.

    Hello,
We're experiencing this problem in one of our instances and it turns out that we added some code to reduce the spacing in v9, have any of you guys done the same thing? We believe the spacing is enhancing the problem.
We have another instance without the spacing fix in V9 where the problem is not as bad.

This is the link for the spacing fix we did:

Reduce Dynamics 365 v9 Field Spacing

    Hi Antonio,
Thanks for the feedback.  I got very excited because we did in fact add that javascript to reduce spacing.
And I did read the disclaimer that it
is not supported so I kind of expect to see issues related to this at some point.
Unfortunately, when I took it out it didn't seem to help the form header problem.
As you can see, the extra form spacing is back, but the header still does not appear.

I raised it with MS Support and got the following response on Friday (just picked it up today):
    --

I've read the verbatim and screenshots provided and I understand that your users have impaired vision after a Chrome Update. After a research within our database I've confirmed that this issue was reported initially yesterday.
The good news here are that our code fix team did their best and utilized a hotfix that will be pushed within all regions, automatically, by the end of next week - 08/02/2019.
    --

However, logging into day, I find that the issues is actually already fixed, one way or another. Other users also confirm this.

    Hi Jeff,

Can I ask a silly question please?

How can you tell it was updated over the weekend?

    Hi Kevin,
Sorry I missed your question yesterday, but I would agree with Nelson.  I've gotten in the habit of checking the CRM version every morning because I never know when it will be updated.  I usually take a screenshot of the version info when it changes and paste into a Word document with the date to try to keep track.  I see messages on the admin Message Center that say we will be updated to version x on a certain date and it may or may not happen.  Then sometimes we get an update that was never mentioned in any message in the Message Center.
If your question was more of a how/where can we view some type of update history with version number and date installed, I would LOVE to know the answer to that question.  Maybe we should start a new thread.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Thanks Jeff and Nelson,

I would also love to have some place where we could see all the updates deployed to our environments along with a link to the detail of what was included in each. In fact why not also include updates that are scheduled as well, that would be useful too. I will take your advice and start tracking the version number though - good tip!

Apologies for the delay in coming back to this thread.

    Kevin,

I agree it would be nice to have one place to see everything related to updates and our specific instances, but it seems to be revving fast these days and rather than us getting notifications, we have to go looking for information. I try to log in frequently to the message center to see messages about scheduled updates. If you're not already aware of this site, here's a link to what is included in each minor release (Service Updates): https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2925359/microsoft-dynamics-crm-online-releases

I haven't seen any information about when the April update will start showing up in the admin portal for scheduling the update. I think the general availability is April 5th. I checked the following:
