On-demand workflows and Version 9.1

    Hello,

    We are supposed to move to Version 9 this weekend, but I am having trouble with the on-demand "clone opportunity" workflow on my Opportunity entity. My questions are 1. can you use on-demand workflows in Version 9.1? and 2. if you cannot use them, does anyone have a workaround for cloning an opportunity. I created this workflow so our sales team did not have to re-enter all of the opportunity information for an extension (for example). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Mary,

    No issues running On-Demand workflows in versions 9.1 and above. Perhaps the On-Demand workflows you have rely on custom workflow steps that were created following code that is no longer supported in the new versions?

    Also, it could be that there are hard coded steps within the workflow referrencing records (GUIDs) that are non-existent on the destination environment.

    ​I'm having the same issue in my UI 9.1, I have a very simple workflow that online triggers an e-mail for Leads, no code, I don't have the menu option to even select a Workflow:

    Linda, your screenshot looks like it's the Unified client interface and I don't think Run Workflow is available yet in the Unified Client but the option is available in the Web(classsic) client in version 9.1

    @Linda Lockard - The on-demand workflow is available, but you have to enable Flow to see the menu option as the "Run Workflow" options is under the "Flow" menu:



    The "Run Workflow" section will have your on-demand workflows listed.
