Does anyone use Hubspot with Dynamics 365? If so, could I talk to you? Just have a few questions of how it has worked out for you.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi Kristina,

Im working with a client who has just signed up with HubSpot for D365 integration and from initial conversations I have heard there are a few mapping issues that they are trying to work out. Do you have the integration already or are you just reviewing it as I would be interested in how you are finding it if you have the integration implemented already?

    Kristina,

Our Marketing group uses HubSpot and our Customer Service and Sales use D365.  Data moves between the systems using Tibco/Scribe.  If you want to discuss the details send me an email and we can set something up.  Some of the high points are:  HubSpot does not have the concept of a "Lead" the same as CRM does.  HS its more like a Contact with a score where CRM it is a separate record.  When the HS score (or other condition) is met in HS you can send the record to CRM.  This is where extremely detailed graphical documentation must exist.  Your diagrams and decision points must be clear and exact, you need to be able to follow the bouncing ball though the sync logic.  You will forever be chasing issues if you do not know exactly what is going on in the sync logic.  You should also identify every field that will sync between the systems and identify which system is the Master and have a clear naming convention.  Also, determine option set labels and IDs and how those will be passed between systems.  You have to consider how you will handle Contacts that you do not want to sync from CRM to HS.  In CRM you may have Contacts that Marketing will never market to, like Customer AP/AR/Purchasing, Competitors, or Exporters and the list goes on.  Since HS charges in tiers by the number of Contacts this can add up.  These are just a few things to consider when designing the sync between these systems.

    Hope this helps,

    Hey Kristina,

We embed the Hubspot contact timeline on contact records in Dynamics 365 using their iFrame. Below is a link for reference. I am happy to discuss this with you further - just let me know!
