    I need help understanding how I may best track my companies business and revenue through CRM. We have multiple ways of getting revenue and I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and how they went about customizing CRM to meet the needs. Example below.

    My company has 5 different sales and service for revenue.

    New Business
    Current Customer
    Service Contracts
    Services (Net New Only)
    Repair or Refurbishments

    Has anyone tried tracking multiple forms of revenue in CRM for the same accounts?

    Hi Ethan,

    Our company has a similar revenue model and we have a pretty simple solution that involves a custom option-set field on the opportunity.  When we track pipeline, bookings, etc. we can join back to that original opportunity and look at what category of revenue it was tagged as.  The bigger issue is making sure your reporting/dashboards are aligned and the sales team is putting in good data.
