Power Automate flow displaying unique code rather than name

I'm attempting to create an automated flow in PowerApps where anytime an account or opportunity is created, I'm notified with the information such as owner, account name, opportunity name, etc.

However, in execution, there are certain fields that display as a unique code rather than the actual name (for example, owner is not the name of the person but instead the unique code tied to the user record). I understand what's going on so that's half the battle, but how do I work around this. I know you can easily create this type of workflow directly within Dynamics 365 (and have done so for other purposes), but was making an attempt at trying something new through PowerApps. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

You can achieve this with one more extra step. By getting the individual record values of Account name from accounts , opportunity details from Opportunity and owner name from users entities by passing the record GUID like in attached image.
Then you can get these values in the next steps to use to send the notification.
I know my explanation is not that detail, let me know if you want detailed explanation.

    Ryan:

With common data service use Get Record with entity Users and either Created By or Modified by as below:

This will give you everything you need for the user.

Ryan while you could get the other records as an option you could also use the expand query option as well.

What this allows you to do is to get related entities and reference the related fields to use. So say you were on the account to get the owner name would be:

Schema Name of lookup to owner($select=logical name of field1, logical name of field2)

OwningUser($select=fullname)  **Note for the Owner, the OwnerId is not a lookup but an Owner Type field type so it will not work.

You can reference multiple entities separated by a comma. They will then be listed in the Dynamic Content under the record with the other associated lookup fields followed by the display name of the field:

Hope this helps simplify the number of records you need to get in your flow. Thanks!
