Mobile App - V9.1

Is there a way to not display the footer info at the very top of the mobile app? It is not important for us to see the created on/by and modified on/by info at all on the mobile app. I really hate that it is at the very top - first thing people see when they login... Any ideas?

I know the whole concept behind the unified interface is supposed to be design one form for all platforms, but I have found myself making custom model driven apps with different form versions for the phone.  Our sales team uses the app on their iPhones out in the field heavily and I have found what might display nicely on any size mobile tablet device does not always provide the best layout for a phone screen.  I removed fields from the headers and footers on some forms and either left the fields off the form completely where they weren't really needed when accessing on the phone or moved them to a different location where they were needed, but not necessary front and center.  I've also tried to rename some tabs with shorter, more relevant names so that users have to use the record navigation buttons less and can more easily find the things they used to find by swiping through pages.  Before, they only saw one tab across the top and had to use the navigation buttons to find thievery else, but now they can see the 3 most relevant tabs across the top and more easily find what they need.

Wow!  That seems like a huge miss.  I just reproduced it in 5 minutes.  I don't understand the benefit of having footer information at the top and would report this as a bug.

I wouldn't wait to solve it though - one solution is to move the header and footer information altogether - if that isn't acceptable maybe move it into a separate tab on the form 'Admin' tab or something which allows the user to still get to it if interested.

    Hope that works!

Thanks to both of you. I think i will move the info to an Admin section at the bottom.  Also, thanks for the tip on renaming the tabs to a shorter name! I will submit this as a bug.

Prior to a recent v9 update, this mobile layout wasn't like this. We opened a support ticket with MSFT and they said this layout is by designed. Knowing that, we came to the same resolution as what Jill mentioned by moving the undesired fields to an Admin tab.

I wanted to post one more item to this in case someone else reviews the suggestions but does not want to create an admin section (which is what we typically do as well). I actually experienced something similar with the header rather than the footer and decided to uncheck the Available on Phone option in the Header Properties. This worked for the header and looks like it would work for the footer as well.

    Hope this is helpful.
