    Hi,

After migrating from CRM 2016 to CRM 365, we are facing issues with the ribbon workbench 2016.

I am editing the ribbon on an entity and when I try to publish it is saying that "There were 2 buttons with the same ID. Rename them to be unique". I have gone through every button and none of them share the same ID's.

It will be helpful if I can get some information/suggestion to fix this issue.

    Thanks

If you open your solution in Ribbon Workbench, select the entity you have trouble with and click "XML". This will bring up your RibbonDiffXML i.e. your list of customizations.

Are you able to share that code? I've seen the 2 buttons of same ID warning before and as adamant as I was that there wasn't, there was and I just needed a second pair of eyes to see it!

    Hi Matt,

    Thanks for your response.

I have attached the xml file of contact, so that you can look into it.

The issue is not only with one button, Ribbon workbench is complaining for 8 custom buttons I have (error attached). This error is even happening when I have made no change and select publish button in Ribbon Workbench.

I can see "Id="cpxconn.contact.ResetPassword.Button" is in your XML twice, implying that an ID is potentially being re-used. They may be in different areas of the ribbon but I guess that's the warning.

If you change on one of these, does it go away?

    Hi,

    Thank you for help Matt.

I removed the duplicate instances of button Ids in XML and its working fine now.
