I have looked everywhere for what should be a very simple task, yet found no answer to this. What I am trying to do is to generate a Word Doc template in D365 in which I need to display the name of the next month regardless of the current date. For example, today is 12/17/2020, in my doc template I have a sentence that reads..."If we do not receive the completed paper work by the 25th of [INSERT NEXT MONTH NAME HERE i.e. JANUARY] then we will be cancelling your plan"
What I have tried so far is using every type of field code I can in the word doc. Of which I have found several examples of how to get current month and previous months using QUOTE and Set Delay formulas in the field code, but none of these are able to be modified to get NEXT month, each time I try I either get an error or it just shows current month.
I want to maybe explore creating a hidden field in Dynamics that calculates the next month, but have not had much luck with that either, as I only want the month name, and not a date. Does anyone out there in CRMUG land know how to accomplish this seemingly simple task?
You could create a calculated field, start the conditions looking for December dates to generate January then just go month by month as shown. You would have to redo the conditions each year though.
Thanks @Matt Brinkman, I was able to figure a way to do this with using QUOTE in a formula in word though. Thanks again.
