It has been confirmed that Microsoft Flow Free licenses are automatically being assigned to multiple users, which gives users access to Dynamics 365, that should not have access. Is anyone else familiar with this? If so, any solutions to prevent the automatic assignment of the licenses are appreciated.

@Anthony Parks - Something to check in your Office 365 Admin Center when assigning licenses: When assigning licenses, many of the license options have an expandable group to turn on/off many of the included apps under the subscription plan. For example, the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement license has many apps included:

It seems that if the Microsoft Flow Free license is assigned, new user records are created in Dynamics 365, but without a Security Role. I can see the confusion and concern.

    Hi There

what we have done is associated our Dynamics 365 Licences with a specific Azure AD Security Group. That way if the person does not have the security group when the process tries to assign the 365 licence, then the user is not created in 365.

At last I know why every now and then CRM would tell me I needed to assign roles to one or more of our Software Engineers!

I seem to recall reading somewhere that this is not reversible - once a user record has been created in Dynamics, it cannot be deleted or removed - correct?

Yes, we ran into this exact same thing about 6 months ago and have put an Azure AD Security Group in place so we can control who does and doesn't have access to Dynamics 365.  It's an extra step but eliminates the wierd access issues Microsoft is allowing due to their bundled licensing.
