does anyone have any insight on the Integrated Bing Maps functionality with the December (now January) CRM 2011 update ?

I am looking for a Bing Map "Chart" functionality - ie select a filtered view, and map those specific records (and drill-through, etc)

I have played with many "dashboard" applications however the customizations required limit their flexibility (filtered views)

If the new update will not provide this type of flexibility I will begin coding :-( or finding a 3rd party....however if the update will provide what I am looking for..............

It is my understanding that the Bing Maps integration for the December update is supported only in the Process Driven UI. The gating factor is that the integration does require a Bing Maps api key and the CRM Team has secured a 'no charge' api key but it is restricted to the UI forms. Therefore, if you want to build other map integrations you can't use the key that is provided with the UI forms.

Thanks Jerry - I have a full key and have since created graphical maps of all our accounts on a dashboard/etc.

Issue I am facing now is converting another basic html IE "heat map" to CRM - from what I understand this needs to use Silverlight for CRM to display the map correctly.

the code works great - until its loaded into CRM....

will continue to investigate
