    Hello Everyone,

I am just curious of anyones experience using an out of the box solution, such as ADX Studio/CRM Portals, for providing customers with data directly from CRM. We are looking to go with a product that can provide this portal (as well as content management) if it can meet most of our need and possibly be customized (in terms of the cms). We have been told about doing a completely custom solution built from scratch, but I don't like this route in terms of having to rely on an indepent third party rather than a Microsoft.
I look forward to your feedback!

    Thank you,
    Jamison

Take a look at the CRM portal connector.  I did a review of this with a client last year and it looked pretty good.

    Hey Chris,

Thanks for the suggestion. Now that i have researched this product a bit, like ADXStudio there are obstacles for our current system. This CRMPortalConnector requires using the Sitefinity CMS, which is a possibility for us to switch to, but we are currently using the Kentico CMS. I am curious if you or anyone else has a comparison of the two CMS' in order to make this decision easier. I've played with the sitefinity and it looks pretty sleek, but maybe too simple? We need many product datafields and relationships (Associated and Substitutes) to pull from CRM as well as the account portal info. Do you have any other suggestions in terms of a portal/CMS?

    Thank you,
    Jamison

    Hi Jamison

I wrote a blog a few months ago about the various Portal options for Dynamics 365/CRM.  You might find it helpful in your research.
